My 2011 Beauty Favorites!

Just thought this would be something fun to share with you all. These are my favorite vanity products for 2011 :D.

To be more helpful in cause you are thinking of trying some of these products.. I am a 23 year old Asian-American female with an oily-sensitive skin type. My face rarely gets dry, but it is prone to redness and irritates really easily. I do not normally have break outs, except during my T.O.M. ;)

Enjoy! I have no idea whether anyone will read this but please let me know if you did :P Greatly appreciated.

Beauty Products (from left to right):

1. Victoria’s Secret Airbrush FX face primer: $18. The reason why I like this product is because it does not cause me to break out and is not oily. This is also my cheaper alternative to my holy grail of all primers..Smashbox Photo Finish ($42) which I can only afford to use on special occasions!

2. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation: $42 Sephora. Let me start by saying that Laura Mercier is my favorite, favorite favorite makeup brand! So of course, this is my FAVORITE product of all time thus far. Before using this foundation, I have been using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. The moisturizer worked well for me, but due to school, work, lack of sleep, and major stress.. I needed a bit more coverage for my imperfections.  This creme foundation provided me with that bit of extra coverage, but shows absolutely no cakiness on my face. I was hesitate to purchase this at first because of the small tube it came in and the steep price.. but it is def. worth it! All I use each time is a pea size amount and it blends wonderfully.

3. E.L.F High Definition Powder: $6 eyeslipsface.com. Very good setting powder for daily wear. I use this during the weekdays when I’m at work or doing my errands. Extremely affordable!

4. Make Up Forever Duo Mat Powder Foundation: $32 sephora. Because of the steep price, I only use this setting powder during special occasions or when I’m going out on the weekends. It’s great for people with oily skin like myself and is very mattifying which I love!

5. Fashion Fix Tape: $5-6 Sally’s Beauty. Works GREAT for those low cut tops and dresses ;D.

6. Urban Decay Primer Potion: $30 sephora. To be honest, I like this product and it does its job.. but I HATE the packaging. For some reason the tube is super hard to squeeze! If you’re like me.. I hate squeezing tubes (like toothpaste, etc.) from the middle up and prefer to squeeze from the bottom up.. but the only way I can get product out from this primer is to squeeze from the middle -_-. I’m probably going to go back to using Bare Escentuals primer.

7. Make Up Forever Creme Eyeshadow: $22 sephora. WATERPROOF!! Love it! and works great for tight-lining.

8. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo: $22 sephora. Anastasia is the only brand I will use on my eyebrows. This powder duo works great because of the duo shade.. darker color for the tail and lighter color for the front. It is very pigmented so try not to pick up too much on your brush.

9. Shiseido Makeup Accentuating Color Stick: $33. I have the rosy flush color and I use this as a base for my lips and sometimes as a blush. Very, VERY pigmented so do not use too much or you will look like a clown. This stick is very creamy and easy to apply, but I have notice that it fades after a few hours. This is more of a touch up stick for a hint of color as you’re out and about.

10. Maybelline Superstay 24 hour Color: $6-8 walmart. This is my favorite lip wear thus far! Does not crack and applies extremely well. It has the color on one end and a gloss on the other which keeps the lips hydrated. Plenty of colors to choose from and definitely a lot better than similar high end products I have tried (M.A.C., Chanel).

11. Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Bronzer: $9-10. Picked this up randomly while I was waiting in line to pay. Didn’t think much of it as first but I have definitely grown to love it. It isn’t too pigmented so do not get this if you want a full “bronze” color. This bronzer is more of a face highlighter and provides a hint of color to those pale faces (like myself). Also, I noticed that it contours my cheeks and makes my face more defined.

12. EOS lip balm: $3-15 online. OMG, I have been obsessed with these eggs lately. Quite frankly, they do not heal or protect my lips whatsoever, but they smell so freaking good!! I randomly bought one at target while waiting in line to pay, and then bought 3 more online on Amazon. Smells great and cute packaging.. but if you want actual lip balm.. I would suggest Burt’s Bees.

13. DUO Eyelash Adhesive: $4-5 any drugstore. The B.E.S.T .. enough said.

14. E.L.F Studio Blush $3 eyeslipsface.com. This is my favvvvvoorite blush. Extremely pigmented and so affordable. IMO, works just as good as NARS orgasm.

Whew, that was long but fun :]. Hope this was helpful to some readers and let me know what you think!
